Meet the team of Watapana, the salsa dance school in The Hague!
Our story
Watapana Dance Company was founded in 2018 by André and Julia, finalists of the Dutch Salsa Masters. We love sharing our passion for salsa with you. With more than 15 years of experience at international level, we understand every aspect of the craft: the fun and the technique.
In June 2024 we taught our first class in The Hague. After more than 5 successful years in Arnhem we wanted to spread our passion further. Our classes take place at Het Koorenhuis, right in the centre of The Hague.
Our method: learn the right steps from the very start, so you grow quickly and feel confident on the dance floor. And we make sure everyone goes home with a smile.
The team
Founder & Lead Instructor
André is very creative and a perfectionist. With over 15 years of professional experience, 2nd place at the Dutch Salsa Masters 2019 and hundreds of performances, his knowledge runs deep. His goal: make salsa even more popular. "Salsa is my passion, and I'm convinced the world is a better place when more people can dance it."
